Strathcona is home base for Schulich School of Music students, with classrooms, teaching studios, rehearsal space and more than 90 practice rooms. The Digital Composition Studios bring together students and faculty in composition, performance and music technology. Strathcona also houses Pollack Hall, one of the busiest cultural venues in the city. Smaller concerts are also held in the Clara Lichtenstein Recital Hall. Dating from 1899, the building’s majestic front staircase features a large statue of Queen Victoria.
